DETROIT (WXYZ) - There will be Day of the Dead Altar Exhibits at the Mexicantown Fiesta Center in southwest Detroit from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4.
The Day of the Dead, also known as Dia de los Muertos, is a yearly celebration of remembering and honoring the deceased. The Mexican holiday traces back thousands of years.
There will be several exhibits, a lecture, and an outdoor “panteon”, or grave site, where visitors can write names on tombstone to remember their loved ones who passed away.
