(WXYZ)Southfield - Old St. Nick will take a breather from his busy holiday schedule to host a series of delicious buffet-style waffle breakfasts at the Detroit Zoo.  Breakfast with Santa will be held in the Zoo's Wildlife Interpretive Gallery on Saturday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 18, 2010, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The cost, which includes Zoo admission and parking, is $30 for adults (ages 15 and older) and $25 for children (ages 14 and younger).  The cost for Detroit Zoological Society members is $25 for adults and $20 for children.  Tickets must be purchased for all children regardless of age as seating is limited.  Advance reservations are necessary by calling (248) 541-5717 (press 3).  For more information, call (248) 541-5717 extension: 3750

Celebrate the holidays with Karen Newman at the Joe Louis Arena. For two decades she has captivated crowds with her signature rendition of the national anthem and now you can come watch her on stage performing “Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue”. Original songs and holiday favorites will be performed. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 14 at 10 a.m. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. on December 21 st. Discover your artsy side at " A CHRISTMAS POSADAS AND BAZAR " in southwest Detroit. There will be arts and crafts, entertainment, food, a photographic exhibit, Christmas songs, and a kid’s ceramic show.  The event runs from Friday, December 16 between 4-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 17 th from noon to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the cultural garage located at 3439 Livernois, Detroit MI 48210. The Arab American National Museum it throwing a Frost Fest! From 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, families are invited to attend this winter-themed party featuring games and craft activities for all ages, Kid Karaoke, a raffle with exciting prizes, a pizza feast and a "decorate-a-cookie" station. This year, the AANM has teamed up with Children's Hospital of Michigan's Snow pile Program, which collects toys and games that help young patients escape the daily stresses of their illnesses. The public is welcome to bring new, unwrapped toys and games to the AANM anytime between now and Frost Fest. Children's tickets for Frost Fest are $6 in advance online at and $8 at the door; all activities and refreshments are included. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups are welcomed!Adults are admitted FREE; adult food tickets will be available for $2 during the event. The Tower Center Marketplace is throwing a party! The event will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 and run from 6-10 p.m. There will be lots of fun, food, music, and of course, Santa Claus. The Tower Center Marketplace is located at 15400 Grand River, Detroit, MI 48227-4131. Prior to the event the marketplace is collecting brand new or gently used unwrapped toys for underprivileged children.
