Rochester, Mich. (WXYZ) - The streets of Rochester came alive with holiday spirit as the Hometown Christmas Parade rolled through downtown.
Thousands of people enjoyed the mild weather as floats and bands made their way down the parade route.
“We’ve never been here before, we thought it would be something fun to do,” said Tara Blandford, who came with her husband and their baby.
For other families the parade is a timeless tradition.
“I’ve been here in all kinds of weather,” said Tammy Williams. She appreciates the pre-parade activities as much as the main event. “I just enjoy the people watching, the buildup until it’s time for the parade to come.”
The Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade is presented by Genisys Credit Union.
