Wayne State helping to clean up Midtown with Wayne Cares Midtown Makeover

(WXYZ) - Coming up on Saturday, April 14 Wayne State University and Midtown Detroit, Inc. are partnering for Wayne Cares Midtown Makeover.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the goal to clean and beautify Midtown.
Hundreds of volunteers are expected. Volunteer check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. on the first floor of the WSU Welcome Center. Buses will then shuttle volunteers to the clean-up locations throughout Midtown.
The even will take place no matter the weather, so please come prepared.
As most of the work involves physical labor, attendees should dress appropriately. This includes wearing closed toes shoes and long sleeves. Work gloves will be provided.
A lunch will be provided at the end of the day.
