Adele buys her mother a house

British pop star ADELE has proved she is the perfect daughter by spending almost $1 million on a new house for her mother.

The singer has purchased a $960,000 luxury property in the British capital for her mom, Penny Adkins, according to the London Evening Standard.

The luxury home in Notting Hill is close to an apartment which the singer bought for herself in 2009.

Adele, who grew up in London, now lives in a 10-bedroom mansion in West Sussex, England with her partner Simon Konecki and their baby son.
