Jessica Simpson gushes about motherhood

JESSICA SIMPSON has called her first week of motherhood "the best thing" she has ever experienced as she is "so in love" with her new baby daughter.

The singer-turned-fashion designer and her football star fiance Eric Johnson welcomed Maxwell Drew at a Los Angeles hospital last week (01May12).

The news was announced on Simpson's website hours after the birth, but the star has not publicly commented on the new arrival until now.

In a post on her Twitter.com page on Tuesday night (08May12), she writes, "I am so in love with baby Maxwell. I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced."
