Actor MARK WAHLBERG is determined to get back to his studies and earn his high school diploma - so he can be a better role model for his children.
The Fighter star dropped out of school when he was 13 and, after a stint as juvenile delinquent serving prison time for assault, he became a model and pop star before making it in Hollywood.
And now he's one of showbusiness' biggest players he wants to go back to school.
The Departed actor admits he's determined to finally obtain his degree so he can set the right example for his four kids, Ella, eight, Michael, five, Brendan, three, and two-year-old Grace.
The 40 year old tells People magazine, "I want them to get a great education and do those things I never did. I will have that GED (General Education Development diploma) before my kids are old enough to know... I actually looked at the test online (the other day)."
