(WXYZ) - Like it or not, this year Christmas unofficially arrived in metro Detroit 3 days before Halloween.

That's because Friday at 5:03 p.m. WMGC, Magic 105.1 FM began playing Christmas music. The station is one of the radio stations in Detroit that traditionally plays wall-to-wall Christmas music through the Holiday season.

This year the first song was Andy Williams classic "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."

Some listeners are surly groaning at the thought of Christmas music so early in the year. But others may be wondering why they waited so long!

WMGC says the Christmas music will continue through the Holiday season, promising that listeners will hear all of their favorites, including songs like: Mariah Carey, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, Bing Crosby “White Christmas”, Burl Ives “Holly Jolly Christmas”, Nat King Cole “The Christmas Song” and Brenda Lee “Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree.”

So, what do what you think. Answer our poll question or leave a comment below.
