WXYZ - Novi - Shoppers beat the Christmas Eve crowds early Saturday morning at the Twelve Oaks Mall Macy’s in Novi.
It is one of fourteen Macy’s stores nationwide open around the clock for Christmas shoppers for 83 hours straight before close on Christmas Eve. The Oakland Mall Macy’s also took part in the marathon shopping experience.
It is the first time Macy’s has done this. Managers say the goal is to allow shoppers to get their holiday gifts bought when it is most convenient, and to take the stress out of holiday shopping.
Action News spoke to shoppers taking advantage of the short lines and good deals early in the morning on Christmas Eve.
“I hate the crowds, but I can handle this,” said Pat Chatman.
“I found an item… I don’t want to say what it is, but it was $19, original price $100,” said Jill Vanlowe.
