Morenci, Michigan (WXYZ) - The Morenci Police Department is taking action to keep the search for missing brothers Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton from going cold.
The Department this week announced plans to partner with Walsh Productions. The company will film an episode of John Walsh's new show "John Walsh Investigates".
“In the episode in which portions will be filmed here in Morenci, they will profile the case of Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton's disappearance and suspected murder. If filming and production goes as planned, the episode would air on the Lifetime Network at the end of January or the first of February,” read a post on the Morenci Police Department’s facebook page.
“Mr. Walsh has a successful history of partnering with law enforcement and profiling cases in his show America's Most Wanted. This partnership will create an additional avenue to present aspects of the case to the public and further solicit information or leads to their whereabouts,” the post continued.
Police promise to announce a date for air, once it is scheduled.
Police say they have received more than one thousand tips as to what may have happened to the boys.
A reward of up to $60,000 is available for information that leads to them.
The boys were last seen around Thanksgiving in 2010 with their father, John Skelton. He told police at one point he gave them to a woman he met on the internet, but his story has changed with time. Police fear he harmed his sons.
He is in prison for unlawful imprisonment in connection with his sons' disappearance.
