"Detroit 187" star and former "NYPD Blue" star James McDaniel is banking on a hit!
There are a number of stars on "Detroit 187," and James McDaniel is one of the biggest. From "Malcolm X" with Denzell Washington and "Six Degrees of Separation" on the big screen to "NYPD Blue" on the small screen, McDaniel has made a name for himself. Now he's hoping to make Motown magic with "Detroit 187."
The buzz around this new crime drama is loud and the expectations are big. One good reason for all that is McDaniel a proven hitmaker with "NYPD Blue," who now plays veteran Homicide Detective Jesse Longford. McDaniel says despite the naysayers who are worried Detroit will be portrayed negatively in this new series, he's not worried. In fact, he's predicting this to be a major hit for ABC.
McDaniel is so excited about Detroit, he's inviting Channel 7 viewers to tweet, facebook or text their favorite hotspots in Detroit whether hidden gems or prominent. McDaniel will pick the six that are the most popular and we'll take him on a tour and then showcase the hot spots on Channel 7.
