GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Bob Bashara’s attorney says he has heard that police may have found blood, or something that looks like blood while searching Bob Bashara’s house and garage Wednesday.

7 Action News cameras were rolling as the search took place Wednesday at the property on Middlesex in Grosse Pointe Park.  Police could be seen at the home for about four hours, taking pictures and apparently collecting evidence they hope will help them find out who killed Jane Bashara.

Bob Bashara's attorney, David Griem said it is suspicious that police reportedly suddenly found evidence on Wednesday.  He says as far as he knows no evidence was found during a previous search eleven days ago.

“Now the Michigan State Police crime lab goes in there and finds something? We don’t know how much, we don’t know if it is human, we don’t know anything about it,” said Griem.  “Not to mention the crime scene, that is what police are calling it, not me, has been contaminated now for eleven days.”

Police are not confirming or denying that they found this evidence.

Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety Chief David Hiller had no comment on any specifics of the investigation.

“This is going to be a gumshoe investigation,” Chief Hiller said. “We are going to keep digging until we get solid evidence as to what happened to Jane Bashara.”

Meantime, the daughter of Jessica Bashara appeared on ABC News defending her father.  She says she lived with her mom and dad for almost 20 years and knows they had a loving relationship.

“I’m focusing on the great person my mother was and the relationship that I knew my parents had,” said Jessica Bashara during the interview.

She said she fears rumors about Bob Bashara’s personal life and possible affairs are leading investigators away from the truth.

“Without a doubt in my mind, I know that he didn’t do it.“
