Detroit 187 star in the making: Natalie Martinez!
One of the stars of Detroit 187, Natalie Martinez got the acting bug by accident really. She’s a billboard showstopper because heads turn when she walks into a room, and now this Miami beauty is playing Homicide Detective Ariana Sanchez.
She stumbled into acting, thanks to Jennifer Lopez. Out of 5,000 girls Martinez was hand picked by J-Lo herself and her mom gets all the credit because she begged her to try out for it and she ended up winning.
Being the face of J-Lo’s clothing line lead to her first big job in acting. She shot 65 episodes in 65 days for a tv series about modeling, and she says that was like acting school.
Martinez says it prepared her well for the long 16 hours days on the set of Detroit 187 which she calls a dream job that’s worth the sacrifice!
