It is awards season in Hollywood, and that means we turn our attention to Tinseltown for the latest beauty and makeup trends.
Just because you're not walking down the red carpet, doesn't mean you can't use some of the stars' beauty secrets.
Emmy-nominated makeup artist Debbie Schrey shares a few of her celebrity beauty tips with us.
1. Spring trends
Schrey says a strong well groomed brow is a key look for spring. She suggests using a gel liner to create a clean eye with staying power. Then add fake lashes or lash extensions to achive the full lash look that is big this season. For the skin, Schrey says a very clean look of matte skin, with a hint of color paired with bold, matte lips in a strong color like a classic red is key. But forget about the gloss, it's out.
2. Red carpet eyes
Schrey says using too much concealer is a problem most women have. According to Schrey, the key to gorgeous eyes, is to only apply concealer to the inside of the eye. She likes to blend the concealer with a nourishing eye cream like the one from Down To Earth Skincare to conceal, prime and treat the eye area.
3. Luscious lips
For gorgeous lips, Schrey likes to apply eye cream to the upper and lower rims of the lips using a fingertip or brush to reduce fine lines around the mouth. She says it will act as a primer to prevent feathering and boost your lipstick's staying power. The best part? The fine lines will get softer and less noticeable over time.
4. Flawless skin
To create a flawless face, avoid using too much foundation. Schrey says it is one of the most common mistakes women make, she prefers to use a tint for even but light coverage. She mixes foundation with a non-alcohol toning solution, to lighten the weight and create a tint that will prime the skin. She likes the one from Down To Earth.
5. Sun-kissed skin
First Schrey suggests you find a bronzer that isn't too orange or sparkly, stick to tawny or earthy tones 'the more it looks tan the better' she says. In our dry Arizona climate you may also want to look for a cream versus powder bronzer. Schrey also says the cream will look like it comes from within. Schrey says you should apply to the apple of your cheek to get that 'fresh as a baby' face.
