Shop with a Hero event paired kids with firefighters and police officers for holidayshopping
ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Firefighters, police officers and other "heroes" paired up with some lucky kids to walk through the aisles of the Meijer store in Allen Park for a holiday tradition known as “Shop with a Hero.”
Meijer donated gift cards so the partners could shop for presents like fishing rods, electronics and toys.
They picked up a basket filled with everything you need for a great holiday.
This is the third year Meijer has worked on this project with the Allen Park police and fire departments.
They sponsor several "Shop with a Hero" events each year.
