Henry Ford Health system is launching the new Let's Get healthy program, designed to combat childhood obesity through diet and exercise.
The 10 week program teaches children with weigh problems and their families how to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The program includes a physician, exercise trainer, behavioral therapist and registered dietitian.
It works by presenting classes that focus on different topics related to attaining and maintaining a healthy weight.
The idea is to include the child's family in the program to show their importance to helping keep the child in an healthy lifestyle.
