Join the Family Fun – January, 20 th, Noon-8pm at the North American International Auto Show!

Join us for a full day of family fun at the auto show! You’ll see bands, circus performers, artists, a balloon clown, a chance to meet your favorite Channel 7 personalities, and a full day of kids games and activities with Radio Disney 910 AM! SAM CHAMPION
Weathercaster - ABC’s Good Morning America on Channel 7

Sam Champion is the weather anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America," reporting on the nation's weather throughout the morning broadcast. He also serves as weather editor for ABC News.

In addition to covering the national forecast, Champion frequently travels to weather-related stories around the country and the globe. Since joining "GMA," he has reported from the frontlines of wildfires in California; from the scene of hurricanes in Florida, Texas, and Louisiana; and from winter storm systems in Denver, Chicago, and Boston. As part of the morning broadcast's "The New 7 Wonders of the World" series, Champion broadcast live afloat a raft in the middle of the Polar Ice Caps.

Before joining ABC News in September 2006, Champion spent 18 years at WABC-TV in New York where he was the most-watched weatherman in the tri-state area. Prior to joining WABC-TV, Champion was a weekend weather anchor and news reporter at WPSD-TV in Paducah, KY. Champion began his career in broadcast news as an intern at WKYT-TV in Lexington, KY, while attending college.

Champion graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in broadcast news. He is involved in many charities in the New York City area, including the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He resides in New York City

CHRIS JACOBS
Weekend anchor – Entertainment Tonight on Channel 7

After two seasons with The Insider, Chris Jacobs begins his second season as correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.

As correspondent, Jacobs has interviewed many of Hollywood's top stars and newsmakers, including Angelina Jolie, Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Leonardo DiCaprio, Drew Barrymore, Katherine Heigl, Charlie Sheen, Bobby Brown and Roger Ebert. Jacobs covered some the entertainment industry's biggest news events, including the Mel Gibson extortion scandal, Lindsay Lohan's probation violation trial and subsequent jail sentence, the Tiger Woods affair scandal, as well as the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, the Emmys and the ESPY awards.

Prior to joining Entertainment Tonight, Jacobs served as Host for five seasons on Discovery Communications popular automotive makeover show, Overhaulin'.

Born and raised in Chicago, Jacobs graduated from Whittier College with a degree in English. He then attended Western State University College of Law and passed the California State Bar Exam in 1995.

He has numerous television credits, including roles in The X-Files, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Touched by an Angel and Two and a Half Men. He has also been seen in several feature-length films, theatre and commercial projects.

Tickets to the Detroit Auto Show are $12 with discounts available for seniors and children ($6 for each). Groups of 30 or more can also purchase discounted tickets.
