Ford unveils the Lincoln MKC Concept at the North American International Auto Show

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Ford has taken the wrappings off their next generation crossover, the Lincoln MKC Concept.

The unveiling came a short time ago at Cobo Center and the North American International Auto Show.

The automakers gave everyone a sneak peek while we were still hours away from the beginning of the show. 

The Lincoln MKC Concept continues the brand reinvention that Lincoln began at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, when the company unveiled the Lincoln MKZ.

Both vehicles contain what the company is calling the "Lincoln Experience."

The term encompasses the features that will be included on all current and future Lincolns, including the push-button gear shift selector that launched with the Lincoln MKZ.

The Lincoln MKC Concept also includes a number of distinctive design elements, like the large panoramic roof that runs the length of the vehicle.

The interior of the vehicle includes premium leather seats and accents and a unique embroidered Lincoln Star.

That Lincoln Star appears throughout the vehicle, in everything from the floor mats to the lug-nut covers.
