'Car Guys' Michael Chetcuti and Kyle Evans talk with Anchor Stephen Clark during auto show webcast

DETROIT (WXYZ) - It can be said that Michael Chetcuti and Kyle Evans are car guys. They do, after all, live in a Royal Oak home that is as much garage as it is house.

So, it was no surprise that they would make an appearance at the North American International Auto Show, where they sat down to talk with 7 Action News anchor Stephen Clark during the WXYZ.com webcast from the VIA Motors exhibit. They talke about their unique home and about their love for the automotive industry.

Chetcuti and Evans both work in the auto industry, with Evans working as a designer for Chrysler and Chetcuti runs automotive supplier Quality Metalcraft. You'll get the complete tour of their home and their cars on Charity Preview night during our special show on Friday which airs from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. -  WXYZ is the official partner of the Charity Preview at the North American International Auto Show.

Quality Metalcraft, a Livonia-based supplier, is also the lead sponsor of a new art exhibit in Detroit's Kunsthalle Detroit Museum of Contemporary Art. It's called STALA Universe and combines video, light and music while highlighting industrial design and manufacturing in the Motor City.

The exhibit opens on January 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Kunsthalle Detroit in conjunction with the North American International Auto Show's VIP party. STALA refers to existing industrial light installation in Detroit's North Corktown neighborhood. Quality Metalcraft manufactured the sidewalk lights which are designed to resemble stalagmite formations. The supplier used the types of technology it uses for automotive fabrication.

“For Detroit to survive as a major manufacturing center with high-paying jobs, we must continue to apply our technologies outside of traditional automotive applications,” said Michael Chetcuti, CEO of Quality Metalcraft.
