DETROIT (WXYZ) - Salons across Metro-Detroit were packed Friday with ladies getting glammed up for the Charity Preview that kicks off the 2013 North American International Auto Show.

WXYZ-TV cameras even caught up with our own 7 Action News anchor JoAnne Purtan as she sat in the hair styling chair of Christie Lafferty at Visions Salon in Novi.

Over at the Luigi Bruni Salon in Birmingham, hair stylists and makeup artists were also paying close attention to detail where about 90-percent of their customers today were coming in to get the star treatment before heading to downtown Detroit's Cobo Hall for the big night.
