Detroit (WXYZ) - 7 Action News is gearing up for the North American International Auto Show’s Charity Preview Gala Friday night.

WXYZ-TV is proud to be the official broadcast partner of the event which helps make a difference in the lives of  kids. The event is expected to raise  $4 million dollars for children’s charities.

“Charity Preview helps thousands of children throughout our region each and every year; we’re grateful to be part of the NAIAS family and such a wonderful evening,” said Ed Fernandez, V.P. and General Manager of WXYZ-TV.

More than 12,000 people are expected to attend.  Tickets are $300. 

Tickets can be bought on-line here.

When you buy your ticket you can select which charity you would like to benefit. Charities include the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, The Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan, Boys Hope of Detroit or Girls Hope of Detroit, The March of Dimes, and the Judson Center, just to name a few.

You can enjoy the glitz that comes with the black tie event by tuning into 7 Action News.  We will broadcast it live from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Friday.  The Red Carpet Charity Preview  will air again Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Sat, January 19 - Sat, January 26: 9 a.m. -1 0 p.m.
(no admittance after 9 p.m.)
Sun, January 27: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
(no admittance after 6 p.m.)


Tickets, Parking and More...


Tickets to the Detroit Auto Show are $12 with discounts available for seniors and children ($6 for each). Groups of 30 or more can also purchase discounted tickets.
