(WXYZ) - The Avengers movie is crushing the competition at the box office. So far, the super heroes movie has taken in more than $1 billion dollars worldwide.

If you are one of the more than 800,000 people who visited the North American International Auto Show, one of the vehicles featured in the movie may look familiar.

Iron Man's alter-ego Tony Stark drives a futuristic convertible. You may have noticed the car at the auto show. It made its debut here as the Acura NSX concept. The supercar was shown as a coupe.

It was featured on Action News as one of the seven 'must see' vehicles at the show. Jean Jennings, of Automobile Magazine, said at the auto show that it was a "thinly disguised concept car" that she expects to go into production.

Robert Downey Jr., who stars as Iron Man, drove the supercar to the blockbuster's premiere. Acura has not yet confirmed when the car may go into production or if a convertible will be available.
