(WXYZ) - Tonight a Detroit-made truck is now the best according to Consumer Reports.
The Ram 1500 is the Best Big Truck according to Consumer Reports. For the first time ever, Chrysler’s truck topped the ratings.
The consumer agency reports the 2013 Ram "delivers one of the best rides of any pick-up" and added the model to its recommended list.
The rating is a shot in the arm to the company that is gaining market share in pick-up trucks.
"Absolutely, Ram is proud we got the Motor Trend Truck of the Year and now Consumer Reports,” says Shawn Morgan of Chrysler Communications. “We encourage people to get to the dealerships and check it out."
Congratulations to Ram and Chrysler, but it should be noted that Consumer Reports isn't done testing American-made trucks yet and still has the Chevy Silverado to consider.
