Cruisers name Sam's Shell as one of their favorite spots along the Woodward Dream Cruise route

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - It seems everyone has a favorite spot along the Woodward Dream Cruise and Sam's Shell has become a famous one.

The service station is located on the east side of Woodward, just south of Normandy (13 1/2 Mile).

It has been featured in "Cruisin News" and the "New York Times" and Sam even prints T-Shirts to sell to his regulars.

Jerry Moss and his red GTO can be found there, he says he has made a lot of new friends at Sam's.

You can find cool and unusual cars at Sam's and along Woodward, the owner of a Duece Coup even let some race car legends autograph his car.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is a car lovers Dream and a people watchers wonderland. Even on the night before hundreds of drivers of all ages cruised bumper to bumper.

People also packed the grassy areas on the East and West sides of Woodward, having a blast Friday night. Many said it was a blast from the past.
