Ford and Amazon team up to bring cloud based music streaming to your car

(WXYZ) - Amazon has unveiled a new app that will allow Ford owners to play their online music libraries in their car.

Amazon Cloud Player for Ford links Amazon's MP3 service with Ford's SYNC system through your Android smartphone.

According to the company, the music streaming will work with Ford Applink vehicles, including the 2013 Ford Fiesta, Mustang, Focus, E-Series and C-MAX models, as well as the 2012 Expedition, Fusion, F-150 and Super Duty models.

The Amazon MP3 app for Android is available through both Amazon's Android Appstore and the Google Play store.
