(WXYZ) - Ford Motor Company has issued an urgent recall affecting 2013 Ford Escape vehicles that have 1.6-liter engines.

According to Ford, the recall was issued to replace the engine compartment fuel line. The line could split and leak fuel, which could lead to an underhood fire.

Owners are being advised not to drive their vehicles and to contact their dealers right away to get the repair.

Dealers will deliver a loaner vehicle to the owner and take their 2013 Escape to the dealership.

2013 Ford Escape models with the 2.0-liter and the 2.5-liter engines are not affected by the recall.
