(WXYZ) - When you sit down down to dinner with your children,  you may be helping them become rich!  A new study finds that  families that eat together at least four times a week are more financially secure.

The University of Georgia studied 8,000 families over a decade.  The meat and potatoes of the issue is that  family meals teach children to prioritize, plan and build strong habits. It could also be that the dinnertime gives children a chance to hear their parents talk about finances and ask questions.

The study does not suggest that you must have dinner together every night, but says four times a week is a key factor in building wealth.
