WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) - Six months ago, 44-year-old Cheryl Stapels was a stay-at-home mom who hadn’t worked a real job in 10 years.
But now, she serves dinner up and makes 100-bucks a night on average in tips alone at Andiamo Italia Restoranti in Warren.
Now, in an unusual move for the restaurant industry, Joe Vicari, the chief executive officer of the Andiamo Restaurant Group is holding an open job fair this coming Wednesday. It’s an effort to hire more than 100 new employees to work at anyone of his 22 restaurants.
The list of jobs available right now includes: hostess, bartenders, wait staff, banquet servers, line cooks busboys, server assistants and valets.
Experience is preferred, but not required. And the money can be very good.
In fact, as Cheryl will tell you, tips alone at Andiamo can be huge.
If you would like to attend the Andiamo Job Fair, It takes place this Wednesday, September 28th between 10:00 a.m. and 4:0 p.m. at The Andiamo Banquet Center at 7096 E. 14 Mile Road in Warren.
