SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Got a refund that’s way overdue? An insurance problem? Or maybe a warranty issue? WXYZ’s Call for Action team has been solving consumer problems for more than 30 years.
Three days a week, they listen to your problems.
They try to help solve as many cases as they can.
“It’s just so rewarding. When you see people getting help like we’re able to give them -- when we do a big case or a small case -- there’s just so much pleasure in it,” said Evelyn Stern, Director for Call for Action.
These qualified volunteers have years of experience.
“I’ve been involved here 12 years, and I’ve enjoyed every year of it,” one volunteer said when our 7 Action News camera dropped in for a visit.
The wealth of knowledge is impressive. And their problem-solving prowess and dedication– week in and week out – have earned them a bulletin board full of Thank You notes.
“The other stations that have this service, it’s an answering machine,” said Stern. “When you call here, you talk to a person – a caring person.”
The Call for Action volunteers take your consumer complaints each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11:30 in the morning until 1:30 in the afternoon.
You can call them at (248) 827-3362 or submit a complaint online on our website.
