Call for Action team helps a woman take a trip of a lifetime after she was ripped off

(WXYZ) - Charlotte Renaud, a woman who has been battling 4th stage breast cancer for 7 years now, is still glowing after returning from her visit to some of the holiest places in the world.

Charlotte was originally supposed to take this religious pilgrimage last spring.
She paid a company called Catholic Pilgrimage Tours her life savings of $3,000, but all Charlotte got was ripped off.

That’s when the Call for Action team jumped in to help Charlotte and her husband put together a huge fundraising dinner to recoup all the money that was lost, and make it possible for her to make this religious trip that has means so much to her.

Just a few weeks ago, Charlotte was able to make her spiritual journey to the Holy Land, where she saw amongst other things Pope Benedict XVI.

Now Charlotte says she has returned with a renewed sense of power and faith and the will to fight off this horrific disease that is trying to kill her.

Charlotte says:”I’ve come home reborn, and I want to thank everybody who helped me with this. I want to thank you Bill, thank you so much.”
