(WXYZ) - At 21-years old Liliya Bromberg truly loves people and loves life, but she’s never really had a place of her own to enjoy it.
That is all changed right now!
Thanks to a charity called The Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield and more than 2 dozen generous companies and volunteers, Liliya is being given her own high tech apartment - an apartment complete with Liliya’s favorite item and something she has wanted for a long time, a smart television.
The newly remodeled apartment has a fabulous bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible shower, a fold-down bed and a small kitchen.
It’s a place where Liliya can spend several hours a day with her friends and volunteers her own age from The Friendship Circle.
It’s basically a place where Liliya can get away and forget about the physical challenges in her life.
Liliya’s reaction to all of this? She broke down in a flood of tears.
“They are tears of joy,” her mother says.
As for the list of companies and individuals that made this project possible.
They are named below:
And The Friendship Circle, the charity that put this whole project together.
