(WXYZ) - Inside their tiny Fraser, Michigan home, Darlene Morse and her husband Pat lay out just some of the more than 15 prescription drugs Pat has to take every day just to stay alive.
For years Pat has been battling Diabetes in its most severe form.
He is no longer able to work, he lost his job and that means he, his wife and his 3 daughters have been struggling to pay their bills.
Luckily for the Morse’s, there’s the Tyson House, a charity food bank that works with local churches to provide people like Darlene with the food they need.
Here, struggling family’s can count on getting everything from graham crackers to spaghetti.
Now, Meijer Stores are making it possible for you to help feed families like the Morse's with the Meijer Simply Gives campaign. It works with Meijer customers like you.
All you have to do is buy a $10 food card at Meijer and then that money automatically goes to fund one of the many local food banks in your area.
But over the next two days, on November 9 th and 10 th, Meijer will turn your $10 donation into a $30 donation, by double matching what you have already given.
That means Darlene and Pat and their kids will not only have a much happier holiday season, but a much healthier one as well.
