(WXYZ) - It’s a one-two punch this year… smaller paychecks because of the expiration of the social security tax break… and rising prices…

A report in AOL Daily Finance says grocery bills are expected to go up 4%. That's another $40 a month for the average family.

And that’s not all the report finds is going up in price.

  • Health Care Premiums: up $20 a month.
  • Computing and online access: up $2 a month.
  • Cable TV up $5 a month.

This means you’re total expenses could be $70 a month higher this year on top of the smaller paycheck.
