(WXYZ) - Wedding season is now in full bloom. As brides and their families are planning those May and June weddings, and as they do, many of them are getting hit with sticker shock. If you’re getting married soon, or are the parent of a bride or groom, you probably want to save some money on that big day. But the problem is you want to be able to control costs, without coming across as a cheapskate.

The average one now costs 25 thousand dollars. And that’s not a high end affair. So SmartMoney magazine has listed some ways to cut those costs and still look classy.
