(WXYZ) - If you are looking to take a trip, you now have more rights when dealing with the airlines. The last phase of the new airline passenger  protection rules is now in effect.

The new rules ban airlines from advertising super cheap fares, without posting the total fare that includes fees and taxes. Airlines also have to tell you when you book your ticket how much a checked bag will cost.

They also can't raise the price on you after you have paid for your reservation. Airlines will also have to inform you if you are going to be delayed more than 30 minutes.

Another major one for anyone who has had their plans change, from now on, you will have 24 hours, after making a reservation,  to cancel and get your money back.
