(WXYZ) - General Motors is recalling 426,000 cars in the U.S. because of a gear issue.
The shifter may not match up with the gear position, causing the car to roll when the driver thinks they are in park.
The recall affects 2007-2010 Chevy Malibu, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura cars equipped with automatic transmissions.
GM says it is aware of four crashes related to the problem, but says so injuries have been reported.
GM says owners will be contacted with information on how to get a free repair.
If you’ve already had this problem fixed, you are eligible for a reimbursement.
