(WXYZ) - One lot of Zicam Extreme Congestion Relief nasal gel has been recalled after testing revealed it was contaminated with a bacteria.
The affected lot consists of 0.5 ounce spray bottles in cartons labeled with NDC number 62750-005-10, lot number 2J23, with an expiration date of September 2015.
Zicam maker Matrixx Initiatives says the contamination should not pose a risk to healthy individuals.
However, anyone with a compromised immune system or chronic lung conditions like cystic fibrosis should contact their doctor immediately.
