Michigan - So far no dog illnesses have been reported from eating Diamond Pet Foods.

This voluntary recall went out due to possible salmonella contamination.

Today the company added Diamond Puppy Formula to the recall list.

Salmonella can affect animals eating the pet foods.

People who touch the contaminated pet food can feel the affects as well.

Salmonella can cause a number of symptoms including nausea, vomiting, diarhea, and abdominal pain.

If you've come in contact with this type of pet food and have any of these symptoms you need to call your doctor right away.

Pets with salmonella infection may become lethargic, have diarhea, fever and vomiting and pets may also have a decreased appetitie.

If you see this type of behavior you need to contact you vet right away.
