(WXYZ) - Instead of mailing out coupons J.C. Penney will be handing out buttons for this year's holiday deals.
Beginning on Black Friday, employees will be giving out more than 80 million small, holiday-themed circular buttons.
Each button has a code on the back which you enter on the J.C. Penney website to reveal if you won a prize.
Prizes include a trip to Disneyland, tickets to Ellen Degeneres' show or J.C. Penney merchandise and gift cards.
Ron Johnson, CEO of the retailer promises this year's sales will be the lowest prices ever in the history of the company.
Newspaper inserts and store signs will show the difference between an item's Black Friday price and the regular 'everyday' price.
Earlier this year, J.C.Penney got rid of hundreds of sales and markdowns that used to bring shoppers to the store. Instead the retailer offers everyday low prices.
