(WXYZ) - Alex Craven is just 13 years old and he already has quite a story to tell.

He was diagnosed with Stage 4 bone lymphoma last year.

After undergoing 6 rounds of chemotherapy, Alex has been in remission since March of this year.

His father James documented the family's painful journey in his blog and it has now turned into a book.

The book is titled "Love, Coping, and Compassion...Conquering My Sons Cancer."

To celebrate his victory, Alex and his family will participate in Saturday's 10th Annual Rainbow Connection Walk for Kids .
