GROSSE ILE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Power has been restored in Grosse Ile after a steel plant caused an outage for over 2,000.

DTE Energy crews say they believe the outages may have been caused by a fire at a steel plant in Gibraltar that spread to a nearby substation.

Power was restored on around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday according to the DTE Interactive Outage Map.

No word on how the fire was started.

Crews are also working on a cluster of outages in Troy and Rochester Hills.
