MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) - Julian Pavone is an 8-year-old Macomb County boy who is now officially in the Guinness World Record Book.
He is an accomplished drummer who has already appeared on Oprah and Good Morning America. He made the publication for being the youngest professional drummer!
Recently, Julian received his book with his picture inside. Julian says he loves the picture which shows him sitting at his 22-piece drum set.
The second grader at Liggett University School is loaded with a lot of confidence. He broke the record on March 21, 2010. At the time, he was just five years, ten months and three days old.
“Hard work pays off” says Julian.
To qualify in the category, a person needs a minimum of 20 concerts played of at least 45 minutes, recorded a CD that was sold in a national retailer and been paid as a session musician.
Despite this major honor, Julian says that he is an ordinary kid with a God-given talent. He works at it as well practicing seven days a week. He also tells me that he can’t ever imagine doing anything else. Julian says “ I want to drum forever! I want to be with my family and play video games, well, maybe I won’t be playing as many video games in the future.”
There is no doubt we will be hearing from Julian in the future.
