SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - You may see a delay in getting your tax refund this year.

This year's tax policy wasn't in place until Congress approved the deal to avoid the fiscal cliff on Tuesday night.

The IRS has to re-program it's systems and then issue the tax forms based on revised laws.

Something similar happened two years ago, pushing back the start of tax season to mid February.
