(WXYZ) - A bulldog was left paddling for its life after falling through the ice in a Denver pond.
A news helicopter over the scene captured the canine paddling furiously to stay afloat.
Firefighters raced to rescue the pet. One rescuer inching his way onto the thin ice to pull the dog out of the frigid water.
The bulldog was pulled safely to shore.
After shaking to dry off, he played around a little with firefighters before he was reunited with his owner.
