DETROIT, Mich (WXYZ) - Michael Wioskowski of Eastpointe is one of more than 240 people arrested and charged in connection with a child sexual exploitation and child pornography investigation called "Operation Sunflower."
"It's disturbing, you never know who is living near you," says Eric Ford a neighbor of Wioskowski's on Universal Avenue in Eastpointe.
It is alleged that Wioskowski-- who is a former court officer in Macomb County and a former volunteer reserve police officer-- had a hidden camera in the bathroom of his home and had video of some young teens who were foreign exchange students staying with his family, according to agents.
Agents searched his home months ago and say they confiscated many pornographic images of young teens in explicit sexual situations. They also say Wioskowski tried to burn some of the porn in a fire pit in his backyard.
Wioskowski is charged with possession of child pornography and receiving it. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison. He is currently free on bond.
We did go to his home, but despite Christmas lights on inside and outside, no one came to the door.
Many of the allegations in the indictments against Wioskowski and the other 240 plus suspects are extremely disturbing and some involve children under the age of 3. Even some of the federal agents say it's heartbreaking for the children.
More than 40 children and young teens were actually rescued from alleged abusers as part of this crackdown.
