DETROIT (WXYZ) - A man is in critical condition this morning after a verbal argument escalated to a brutal stabbing on a DDOT bus in downtown Detroit last night.

This happened near Woodward and Clifford just after 10:30 p.m.

The bus driver reportedly called dispatch, which called 911, and the man was rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital.

The suspect allegedly fled the scene, but was caught nearby on John R and Farmer.

The alleged stabber is under arrest, and also at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Apparently, he suffered a flesh wound during the attack.

Police are still investigating the situation.
