(WXYZ) - We all love to be connected to the outside world with our smartphones, but when we’re actually trying to be social, cell phones can sometimes get in the way.
Well, one Brazilian bar is testing out a solution to stop people from pulling out their phones when they're in a social setting.
It’s called the Offline Glass, and it was created by the advertising agency Fischer & Friends.
A video posted by Fischer and Friends' art director shows how the glass only stands up straight if it’s resting on a cell phone.
The glass was unveiled at Salve Jorge Bar and creators claim it will rescue people from the online world and bring them back to the bar tables.
Needless to say, if you decide to visit this bar, you may want to get a waterproof case for your phone. Just saying.
What do you think? Would you use this Offline Glass or do you think it’s absurd?
