(WXYZ) - Alex Band, lead singer of the rock band the Calling, was assaulted early Sunday morning after a performance at the Lapeer Days Festival in downtown Lapeer.
The Lapeer County Sheriff's department confirms to 7 Action News that Alex Band was beaten up in Lapeer. His condition was not known Monday morning.
Band and the Calling are best known for their 2001 hit song, "Wherever You Will Go."
They performed Saturday, at 10:30 p.m., on the main stage at the Lapeer Days Festival.
