(WXYZ) - Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide.

In 2011, over one hundred million people came together to shop small in their communities on Small Business Saturday. 

Now American Express is offering cardholders a chance to have their small business purchases reimbursed.

Customers must spend at least $25 at participating merchants in order to qualify.

American Express will add a $25 credit to your statement within eight weeks.

Shoppers must register ahead of time in order to qualify.
