GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WXYZ) - It's dubbed as the world's largest art competition, and it all kicks off on Wednesday.  We're talking about ArtPrize.

The art is displayed in restaurants, bars and everywhere imaginable, including right along the streets of Grand Rapids.

The annual art festival is relied on by retailers much like Black Friday shopping.

Cash prizes totaling $560,000 are awarded by public vote and by art experts. Two rounds of judging will last until October 4.
